Richard took
the phone several times, typed "SORRY", "Let's Catch-up",
"How are you doing now?" and deleted it every time. And the other
window of Rami was showing Richard "Typing" Rami was furiously
waiting for his response but she hardly managed to see the profile picture as a
source to reduce her solitude. That was a magical moment when Richard and Rami
met. Richard was quite fond of the celestial body so the nights at the roof
made Rami a traveller; as Richard guided her one star to another.
Rami was driven
by her misfortune in every part of her life. The situation made her so
melancholic that she always dwells on her situation. She tried so many things
and medications but her positive attitude was drifting in a way that she went
through the identity crisis.
In this
miserable situation, Richard was the sole healer to her. His spark made her
eyelashes dry and drew a thin line of a smile in her pair of lips.
The
friendship evolved through many ups and downs but the sense of egoism was so
strong among them. They were so good to each other but the situational hazards
ceased them to express. In that way, they ran their relationships.
In summer
evening they enjoy the breeze beside the river. They roam around different
places; they respect their passion rather they sometimes come so close to being
loved. But it was not everything. Ill-fated Rami was always being deprived by
being adorned and Richard was a boy with attitude. Though he felt for her the
heaps of earthly responsibilities, principles and family stopped him to express
his feelings that pinned Rami a lot.
The
festivities wore its vibrancies of color if they got together. Before
Christmas, they went through a dangerous fight. That their self-respect stopped
them to speak with each other. Though they were dying to interact this time
Rami did something very harsh to Richard. Being a lovable girl, she hardly acts
so rudely. They got deserted for such a long time. Fourteen days seems to be a
decade for them to speak.
Christmas
brought a thread of memories to Rami about her childhood, on Christmas morning
she laid down her bed with teary eyes and childhood Christmas cards. Those
gifts seemed to be a wastage of money for Richard because he always disliked
teenage siesta but Rami yet love fantasies. So, she always expected a childish
surprise of adoration, like her father used to give her at Christmas.
While
thinking all these suddenly the doorbell rang and a cute lad came up with white
flowers in a basket and a gift wrapped in sparkling paper. With a note
"Call of Santa-Beware of denial". She was in her night suit but she
could not wait to change herself, the lad escorted her to the vineyard that
seems so magical to Rami even in the morning.
The
sparkling sunlight penetrated here in a twinkling form and two old huts used to
create an enchanting tower of some fairy tale. Now the lad gave the basket to
Rami that the fragrance of jasmine made her spellbound then she had opened the
gift wrap which mesmerized her- as it was that stupid Hourglass which used to
indicate the Hour as per the partial visibility of Wand_of _Wizard. She wanted
to buy it a month ago on which she heard much humiliation from Richard to be
stupid, childish, abnormal that she skipped her dinner with grief on that
night.
Gradually,
she felt the presence of Richard somewhere around and yes he came out of that
enchanting tower like a prince of the fairy tale.
Suddenly
that earthly ambiance transformed to be magical for Rami.
It was
something beyond her imagination.
Richard
stood in front of her; leaving all his
ego and attitude aside he bent down his head, held her hand, and said "
Let my Christmas spark with your smile, my majesty."
Rami stood
still with her sparkling teary eyes, blush on her face, and an overwhelming
smile on her face.
She could
hardly manage to tell Richard in her sobbing voice " Merry Christmas"
Very sweet, romance is in the air !!!
